So make your essays spectacular. Send in great supplementary material (like an art portfolio or publishes science paper) if you have it. Control what you can. They won't reject you BECAUSE you have a perfect score. It can only help you.

People aren't taking this kid's context into proper consideration. He/she is applying through questbridge, a low income/urm program, which is highly selective.

I'd say that drolla's scores are still very low for ivy leagues, since he/she is averaging less than 600 per section. He/she needs to break 2000 for a good chance. Plenty of URMs and low income students have over 1750, because, frankly, that's a really low score and anyone with such a great transcript and AP classes should be able to bring that up with any amount of study. By the way, try using the CollegeBoard Real SAT book, Drolla.

If this person wasn't a special low income/urm candidate, that number would need to be much higher. Unless, of course, he/she is an olympian or something.

Best of luck to him/her.

Hey MARIT,

Thanks for that... I understand that completelt and totally agree.

I forgot to mention that I took the SAT on the day that I went to WASH. D.C... I told myself I would never blam a low score on the fact that I traveled the night before and had a two hour time difference than Colorado. lol. But has anyone done the same thing? Idk, I guess I will find out if I actually can get a better score once I take the test again.
