Another poster on the Cornell board wrote: “I think that Brown is a good school for those students who “fit” the Brown profile.”

I know not everyone at Brown are the same and won’t necessarily fall into the profile, but what’s the general “Brown student profile”?

well it is hard to 'bottom line' 6000 kids but if I had to I'd say, in general, Brown students are:

-independent
-extroverted
-excited about________.
-low-key, not competitive with peers

eck...what if you're not really any of these things except the first??

everything except extroverted...but i can learn :)

haha, that pretty much sounds like me! however...i seem like i never get excited but then out of nowhere I get excited about the randomest things.

Wow yeah me too, exactly. Sometimes I'm competitive, when I get a surge or something, but most of the time I'm pretty lax.

Competitiveness is not a bad thing, as long as you use it to motivate yourself instead of focusing on bringing other people down.

How hard do students work on average?
