Hi, was thinking of applying for the Brown Scholar-athlete program this summer. So i can integrate playing tennis, a fun and interesting course and show my interest in Brown.

A couple questions though:
- Does anyone know whether this program is fun/interesting/productive?
- Does the program help me at all in terms of gaining admitance into Brown? (I realize it doesent give me a huge leg up… but i already have plenty of strong extracurriculars and was just thinking this may show my interest in Brown and reinforce my application…)
- Are the courses offered there of a good quality and are they interesting?
- If i take a science course do we get to use some lab facilities?
- Are the summer programs hard to get into? (I am a pretty confident person with strong GPA and teacher recs… but frankly i have no idea as to the competitiveness of the application process for summer programs)
- Will there be any varsity coaches/recruiters floating around :p?

Just by the way I have a set of strong SATs/GPA and outstanding extracurriculars and I plan on applying for PLME Early Decision at Brown. If you think knowing more about me will help you answer the questions feel free to ask! :)

Thank you all very much for your time and effort in answering my questions.
Good luck to each of you in all your exploits :)
