I can't decide between Brown and Middlebury.

My prospective major (one of the 3...or a combo of a few sort of in order of preference): Anthropology/English/Linguistics/Biomedical Engineering

Future Career (sort of in order of preference): Corporate Lawyer, Writer (Magazine), Radiologist

Can't help specifically... But I would choose Middlebury..

Both great schools! (+ both schools I applied to ;) )

I'll say this... Middlebury's English/Language department is outstanding, and the Breadloaf Writer's Program (from what I've heard) is like second-to-none on the East Coast. Many working/successful authors come back to the conference each year to share their work, and the Vermont scenery has this mystic, storytale-like quality about it. Also, the options to study at Breadloaf schools abroad make for an unparalleled opportunity.

Just things to consider. I am in no way knocking Brown. It was one of the final 2 schools I decided between, afterall!

....and if you're curious, I'm going to neither. But I certainly [and almost painfully] considered each.

people in the world have actually heard of brown university

No one has heard of middlebury

go to brown if you can...it will impress future coworkers and friends...

I'm personally a huge fan of Brown (the Open Curriculum sounds AMAZING), so I'd have to say Brown.

And go-vibe--what grade are you again?

Yesterday when I found out I got into Brown at first I thought I’m totally going there. My best friend got in as well but I’m not sure either. It’s between Middlebury and Brown lol

this is tough…idk I want to do neuroscience, I’ve heard Midd has a really great science program for such a small school but Brown is…well Brown, bigger and more resources (so I’ve heard)

Will you be at either open house this April?
