As I am finalising my list for regular decisions, I am kinda confused between these two colleges. I am an international student looking for huge amount of aid. Although I am aware that both of these schools are need-aware for international students, which one is still more generous in terms of aid? Moreover, I am planning on doing economics, and aiming to work in financial sector.
Do not know the situation for international students. My S received better aids (about $6000 difference) from Dartmouth than Brown. But I bet one can ask Brown to reassess the aids given another offer from another Ivy school or the like. Good luck on your application.
They should both be similar in terms of aid, though I do know from personal experience that Dartmouth tends to give international students a bit more aid than they expected to get (my S/O and various friends are international). I’d say the schools are close enough that it would be hard to know who is going to give more aid without applying to both and comparing.
@CP3333 Alright! Thank you for your response. My heart seems to set more towards Brown for now since I like their concentrations and clubs. But I will definitely consider what you’re saying.
