Brown vs. Davidson

<p>Hey guys, I was recently accepted to both of these schools and I am having a difficult time deciding between them. I know that they are both well respected institutions however I do have a few questions about them. </p>

<p>I like:</p>

<p>Brown - Liberal, diverse, pretty strong academics, open curriculum</p>

<p>Davidson - Tight-knit, excellent and rigorous academics, strong honor bound community, very happy students</p>

<p>I know that Davidson is less diverse then Brown and that is a neg, but I really like its small town and warm feel. Aside from this, I am having a difficult time judging between which one has a better reputation (or if it even matters when you are deciding between such top tier schools). Anyway, what do you guys think? Can you help me decide?</p>

<p>My roommate chose between the two and his dad was a Davidson legacy. I'm also pretty sure Davidson would have been free for him.</p>

<p>I don't know what that means,but it's all I know about Davidson.</p>

<p>Brown is definitely more well-known. This might give you an edge when job-hunting or applying to med/grad school.</p>

<p>the brown community is also comprised of warm, happy, welcoming people. my guess is that brown would offer more academic, extracurricular, and personal opportunities.</p>

<p>i don't know much about davidson.</p>
