In general, would you say that Brown values more creative souls than the other Ivies do?

I am asking this because, for the Brown supplement, I have this essay that is very well written. However, similar to my CA essay, it is more creative than it is intellectual. For many other of my schools, such as Princeton and Yale, I took a more intellectual approach towards the supplements, and talked about my learning experiences, etc.

Sorry for the tangent, just a general question.

You’re overthinking it. Plus, who cares what other schools value? Do you think this work shows something of value about you to the Brown readers? That’s what should guide your thinking – not whether or not Yale wants creative people. Of course it does. But what does that have to do w/your decision to submit this particular essay?

I think Brown especially appeals to unconventional, self-directed students; many of these people are creative, but you could well be creative within a discipline and still desire a structured pre-package core curriculum.

Quirky works in your essays; so does an intellectual approach; write what suits your personality!
