Brown vs. Penn for Science/Pre-Med

Friend is having a hard time deciding between Brown and Penn. He knows he wants to major in chem/bio. Has already done publishable research and wants to continue with medically based research in college. Potentially also considering med school in the future.

So which would be better given his academic interests?

If he wants to do a double major in chemistry and Biology, Brown would be best for that because of its open curriculum…

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/brown-university/1284648-brown-best-place-pre-med.html?highlight=brown+is+the+best+place+to+be+a+pre+med

After lots of deliberation, he chose Penn…

Well, everyone makes mistakes. . . (just kidding!)

Seriously, everyone knows that both Penn and Brown are awesome schools, and your friend was very lucky to have this choice. My D went the other way on this choice, but “fit” is different for everyone. Congrats to your friend!
