I’m stuck between the two schools. And both have admit visits during the same three days (22nd-24th) so it will be hard to go to both. Does anyone have any thoughts? Potential concentrations are Econ, Applied Math, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Engineering.

Try to at least visit both, even if you can’t make it to the official admit days - they’re so close together that it shouldn’t be a huge hardship. Do your best to talk to students in your areas of interest at both schools and compare experiences. Honestly, I don’t see a bad decision here - it’s just about what school is a better fit for you.

That’s nice. CS and applied math are really strong points for Brown. My daughter loved her dept. Yale would be great too.

I think academic fit should always be the top consideration, and you can answer that better than any of us. For non-academic considerations, the Yale residential college housing system compared to the Brown dorms and off campus options for upperclassmen, and the different atmosphere of New Haven and Providence stand out to me…maybe not to you or others… as distinguishing factors.
