We want to build new dorms and have a lot of planning on how to go forward, but it’s expensive and doesn’t directly improve the quality of academics so without a massive donation that’s highly restricted to dorms, it’s unlikely those plans will move forward in the near future.

We also just expanded the faculty specifically to increase smaller classes and have a classroom space issue.

There is zero chance we’ll increase the freshman class size in the next… 10-15 years. If anything they should reduce it.

I don’t understand why all the nitpicking re Brown v. Princeton in USNWR stats. There isn’t one employer or grad school in the world that is going to say “Oh, he only went to BROWN?” when looking at a resume.

What you majored in, how you did in the major and other courses, any honors accrued, jobs & internships while in school, etc, are going to carry far more weight then whether someone went to Brown instead of Princeton or vice versa.

For that matter, having attended a well respected state u. and aced the honors program is going to boost a young person a good deal more than having gotten into Brown or Princeton and drunk their way through the four years, as some do.

Been there, seen it–Brown '74, live next to Princeton & its “eating” clubs.
