Bruff Redone

I like what they've done to bruff. It makes the previous bruff look horrible. Just throwing that out there.

And all of the workers are really friendly now. What happened there?

Good job Tulane.

There was a suit that was settled between the cafeteria workers and Sodexo
[Sodexo Pays $20,000 to Fired Worker, Alerts Cafeteria Workers they will not Interfere with Rights - Clean Up Sodexo](http://cleanupsodexo.org/2011/08/sodexo-pays-20000-to-fired-worker-alerts.php)

Do they still manage to burn their pizza?

I actually think Bruff is really good now. Haven’t had a single slice of burnt pizza yet…

Wow. Could you imagine unionized cafeteria workers going on strike at a school where the tuition, room and board is $54,000 a year? A lot of upset parents and students, that’s for sure.

No. But while eating ice cream today I pulled a man’s arm hair out of my mouth.

At least this year they cared and said sorry.

Good times.

Lovely…

I have no idea what it was like before but my son likes eating supper at Bruff. He initially thought he would not like Bruff at all. He is a freshman

Yes, the changes are pretty dramatic. I think the workers there last year would have spit on us if it wasn’t illegal.

They’ve added a salad bar (the last salad bar was a joke–iceberg lettuce and a few bad veggies), a real desert bar, better “burger” displays, lots more cereal and drink options, as well as ice cream. And they have forks, knives, spoons most of the time. The food is also better quality, in my opinion. They’re taking a lot of care to provide healthy options instead of pumping everything with low quality beef and covering it in tomato sauce.

But does your face still break out when you walk in? Although I was impressed with Bruff when we did Open House a couple of years ago, I was overwhelmed with the smell of grease. Husband is an alum, and he thought it was Commander’s Palace compared to how it was when he was there 30 years ago.
