<p>Hi everyone. I'm applying to college this year. I am a white female who's an immigrant from Ukraine. I'm a California resident. I came to American when I was seven. My mom gets disability, but I don't know if that would help me. Just wondering... from my list of school, </p>
<p>where do you think i would get in?</p>
<p>Here are my stats:
ACT: overall - 28. Reading - 30. Math - 29. Writing 31. English - 34. Science - 18. Not much of a science person as you can see!
SAT:1850. Critical Reading - 610. Math - 600. Writing - 640.
Subject tests: french with listening: 800. math level 2: 600.
Weighted GPA 3.75
Classes for junior year:
AP Psychology, Precalculus, US History Honors, Regular English, Advanced Drama
Classes for Senior Year: AP Calculus AB, AP English, American Democracy, Physiology, Advanced Drama.
After school activities:
-100+ hours of volunteer work at an elderly home.
-Award from my school for excellence in writing in English. I got this at the end of Junior year and it's pretty amazing because when I came to American I didn't know one word of English and ended up getting an award for excellence in writing!
-Secretary of my school's literary magazine for the third year.
-Co-president of the school's jewish club for the second year.
- Also did a public speaking tournament thing in 10th grade.. called forensics. </p>
<p>I am fluent in French (since age 10), in Russian (since birth), and in English. I have passable Spanish. </p>
<p>I think I did a good job on my essays. Will they be the determining factor?</p>
<p>I took summer classes at UC Berkeley's ATDP every year since I was in the 7th grade. The summer after my freshman year, I took Geometry and got a B+, after sophomore year I took Introduction to Chemistry and got a B, and then after junior year, I took Writing for College and got an A. </p>
