Our son is having a tough time deciding between Bryant and Sacred Heart’s business programs. He revisited both and likes both. The schools are pretty different from one another. Any advice - let’s assume tuition is not an issue for this exercise :)?
Bryant is well known for business. Until recently it was the only major offered there. Sacred Heart is well known for…I’m not sure what if anything.
Bryant has a better business reputation locally than Sacred Heart. The degree will help in the local cities such as Hartford, Providence and Boston. I am not sure about Sacred Heart having an advantage in NYC. It is quite possible but I would doubt that. As @Chardo mentioned, business does not necessarily come to mind when someone mentions Sacred Heart.
Full disclosure. My son is leaning towards Bryant as well.
Personally I feel that a child will thrive in a place they they feel most comfortable. If your son is a strong student, then he will succeed in any program. Which school does he get the warmest feeling about? What where his initial reactions walking onto each campus for the first time?
Bryant incorporates a liberal arts minor from the liberal arts curriculum so you graduate with a major + minor instead of major + random courses.
Personally, I think that’s a better use of time than the catholic courses required at Sacred Heart, and I think Bryant had the edge in reputation.
