Can someone comment on the relative ease of admission at Bryn Mawr ED 1 vs. Haverford ED.This is cross posted on the Bryn Mawr forum.

I am looking at www.collegeboard.com under the admission tab for each school. If you take the amount of students who were admitted under early decision and divided it by the amount of applicants received, multiply by 100 for a percentage, you should get the amount of kids who were admitted.

Bryn Mawr:
* Number of early decision applications received: 141
* Number admitted under early decision plan: 94
Acceptance Rate would be about 66.7%

Haverford:
* Number of early decision applications received: 208
* Number admitted under early decision plan: 104
Acceptance Rate would be precisely 50%

What OneofSeven says is correct, but it does not consider the relative strengths of the two applicant pools. You still have to consider average SAT scores, % in top 10% of class, etc. I think when you do, you will find it is probably a lot easier to gain ED admission at Bryn Mawr than at Haverford (unless you are a guy!) - even more so than OneofSeven's analysis would suggest.
