Bryn Mawr RD Class of 2020!

Thank you! When did you receive it?

So I emailed them on the day the decision was released and I got the email within one week. @T2016M

@Fiona1997 . thank you! Would you be ok with posting the message they sent you here?

I got the travel scholarship, but I’m from California. I’m not sure if I’ll attend Bryn Mawr, so I’m conflicted on whether to go or not. I bet the experience would be great! idk should I spend the extra money and bring a parent? I have until tomorrow to decide and I’m just not sure

@T2016M it just said “Thanks for your email. We will add this into you file”. I also sent an additional essay.

Would visiting the school help improve chances of getting off waitlist?

I’m also on the waitlist and planning on a visit this weekend. If you don’t live too far away, I think a visit will help you demonstrate your continuing interest in the school… At least I hope so!

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that I am rejecting my offer to Bryn Mawr today. Hopefully you wonderful ladies on the wait list won’t have to wait long to hear back. Best of luck to everyone!

@EeveeSpirit Where are you planning on going?

@jybbing I just sent a letter of interest, what about you? Have you sent anything?

I sent them an email (4 paragraphs-ish) a few days after I heard back. I was actually a bit worried because I sent it to the generic admissions email account and never heard back from them… So I emailed my regional rep yesterday.

@EeveeSpirit Thanks so much! Best of luck wherever you’re going!

@mang0esxx I’m committing to Reed or BU soon. I’m visiting next week but I’m leaning more towards Reed :).

@Fiona1997 thank you!

Has anyone heard back? Are they admitting at all since they didn’t last year?

I called admissions today and they said they would let everybody from the waitlist know their decision by the end of may

End of May??? Wow that’s long…

Do you mind if I ask–how much is the Presidential scholarship for? All I see on the website is that merit scholarships range from $12K-30K. Thanks!

@smcirish The presidential scholarship is the highest merit scholarship, for 30k

With a 3.64 unweighted GPA and a 24 on the ACT will I have a chance of being admitted into Bryn Mawr College? No matter how much I search I am unable to find the average GPA for admitted students. IF possible please chance me. Thank You!

I cannot find their average GPA anywhere, either. They don’t even have it on the common data set so I gave up. Their middle 50%tile ACT score is 28-32, so you should try to raise your score. Good luck.
