Bryn Mawr RD Decision Threads 2019

i just got my aid package! EXTREMELY generous!

Me too! I’m able to attend. WOO HOO!

all of you getting aid, does it say you aid is finalized or estimated?

no its estimated. what does that mean? will it change?

I have no idea, but I honestly feel like something is wrong with my package. I didnt get aid

Is any of this aid merit? Or is it just financial?

D is in! Did anyone get merit aid and if so, where did you find it? Congrats to those who got in, and for those who didn’t I hope this week is kind to you!

How much exactly is the cost to attend Bryn Mawr?
The Presidential scholarship plus grants are so generous and they didn’t say how much my parent needs to contribute so I’m a little confused.

What is the presidential scholarship? I thought Bryn Mawr didn’t give merit scholarship.

Nevermind, Bryn Mawr gives out merit scholarship to first year students.

overall cost should be on the website. I don’t think they’ll tell you how much you have to pay, I think you just have to do the subtracting. At least that’s been the case for all except one of my acceptances. They’ll also probably be more information with the snail mail acceptance I’m assuming/I hope.

Accepted!! So excited! I’m going to visit over Spring Break now.

Can someone confirm that the presidential is merit? I got 30k so I suppose it makes sense.

@hjajo96‌ Where does it say whether its estimated/finalized?

Hi everyone,

I got waitlisted. How can I pursue the waitlist? Is there even a chance that I might get accepted? When do the decisions for waitlisted students come out anyway? Sorry for all the questions but I’m a little confused.

Oops, the first part sounded a little mean-- I just meant it was within the bracket of what they said they would offer for merit on their site, so it made sense.

@quijote can you tell me where you found the $ info? In acceptance letter or financial aid letter? Thanks!

@quijote if it doesn’t say “grant” or “loan” than it’s merit…

@GB1904‌ It says “scholarship”

@Dawnpaige You can get to it through the student center (where the decision was), under financials->view financial aid or you can go to it directly (Self-service->campus finances->view financial aid)

@quijote – thanks! We didn’t apply for financial aid and my D just texted me about her acceptance as I’m at work so not sure if she even checked there. Appreciate your help and congrats to you!
