@Dawnpaige no problem, happy to help. Thanks, and congrats to your daughter as well!
For those of you who got merit scholarship, did you also get grants? Plus, does anyone’s financial aid package say estimated or finalized?
@quijote lol. Yes. It says scholarship. It’s a scholarship. Need-based is called grant. Did you not receive a grant? If not I understand the confusion
@GB1904 I did, but I was just confused because my grant was very much lower (probably because of the scholarship) than we had calculated with net price calculators. I can be quite a dunce sometimes-- sorry about that!
Does anyone know if you can still get financial aid if you sent the FAFSA in after the deadline?
For those who got scholarship, did you hand in everything from your to do list? Thanks a bunch for answering me
@jcf95cj yes-- but I was also applying for need-based aid, so that might not be too helpful
No its very helpful! I didn’t finish everything in my to-do list so my financial aid package is estimated. It doesn’t say estimated for you, right?
@Quijote no no no–you’re totally fine! I hope I didn’t come off as snarky or anything Congrats on your scholarship! That’s the highest BMC offers, as I’m sure you know!
Where does it say estimated?
@GB1904 Ah, no, I just felt particularly dunce-y (?) after I confirmed. Thank you!
@quijote If you don’t mind, could you possibly tell me your stats so I know how much you need if you want merit scholarships. and it says estimated before the grant and loan.
@jcf95cj I haven’t written them all out yet, but if you have specific questions I can answer them, either here or via message
Ok great Thanks! I messaged you
@quijote It says whether it is estimated or finalized if you scroll underneath the box with your reward. idk i’m still a little confused.
Is anybody else still having trouble with the BiONiC link? Mine won’t load on any device I try it on.
What is Bryn Mawr’s estimated tuition for next year? I got $41k in a BMC grant, and my total aid package is $49k. I’m not sure how their scholarships work. I have about $24.5k per term. Is that almost full tuition? Am I calculating this wrong? Help me if you know, please.
@NotSteveBuscemi It’s about 62-63k annually, plus personal expenses/travel/books. https://www.brynmawr.edu/financial-aid/tuition-and-fees-charges-academic-year-2015-2016
@NotSteveBuscemi So to add on to the rest of your question, you would still have to pay out of pocket 21-22k per year, plus have enough spending money for books and the rest. So yes, its almost full tuition (about 5k less) but there are other expenses (fees, and room/board etc if those apply to you)
@quijote Thank you! You’ve helped my confusion tremendously! Thanks for the link, I could only find this year’s tuition info. Bryn Mawr really does have fantastic financial aid.
