Bryn Mawr vs Uc Davis

Hi,
I'm new to cc, but I need to make my college choice and I need some help.

Basically my choices are:
1. UC Davis
2. Bryn Mawr
3. Boston University in college of General Studies
4.University of Miami
5. American University
6. Waitlisted and University of Virginia

If anyone could please help me choose. I really want a school that is great academically but that will also give me a great college experience. :)

How do these schools match up financially? Are you in-state for Davis? They all seem to be very different places - what are you looking for?

If you still need to compare aid packages, run the numbers here: [FinAid | Calculators | Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Award Letter Requirements - Finaid)

Beyond that, not knowing your major it is hard to advise. I’m pretty fond of Davis because it has one of the nation’s best Ag. schools, and of BMC because of the generations of smart, cranky women who have come out of the “sisters” colleges. If the price is favorable and your major is offered, none of those are bad places to spend four years.

This is one or the oddest choices thread! I’d got to BM! It’s an elite college with excellent small classes, great interaction with proofs nd a strong post grad network. Davis is a school in financial crisis with huge, hard to get classes and no active network.

Thanks everyone for your responses, they have been very helpful.
Finacially all the colleges would cost about the same except if davis because I live in Cali.

As of now I’m not sure what I want to major in but I know I want to go to a great business or law school for graduate school.
Also For bryn mawr I’m just concerned there isn’t much to do outside of academics.

There is plenty to do at Bryn Mawr, and if you can’t find it there, you can pop over to Haverford, take the bus to Swarthmore, or catch the train in to Philly. You can be as busy and active as you want to be.
