Bs and Cs in Community College

Hi, I took a community college course Business 101 in the fall of my sophomore year and got a C in it.
I am also taking Intro. to Comparative Politics online through UCLA extension and expect to get a B in it.

Should I report these on college applications?

By the way, I have a 4.04 gpa. I do not usually get Bs and Cs.

Also, will these scores hurt me if in case I do have to report them?

Compromise: report the B, but not the C.

You don't have a choice. You are supposed to turn in transcripts for all of the courses you have ever taken. You can't just "get rid of it" by not reporting it.

I was told by my school counselor not to put it on my high school transcript, but to write it in on the application.

What are your thoughts on this?

optimization is correct -- when you complete a college application, you will be asked to list all colleges where you have attended. It doesn't matter whether you were still in high school or not -- you have to list the school AND send an official transcript.

sparkle -- what do you mean "not put it on my high school transcript"? You certainly don't have to put the class as part of you high school transcript history to be factored into rank and GPA unless it helps you -- and in your case, I would leave it off. Simply report it on the application when it asks you to list other schools you have attended and send an official transcript.
