BS classes

What are the classes you take for granted--the courses that will, in a sense, automatically get you an A?

And, do you typically study the night before the final exams in such classes? Let me rephrase that, do you typically study a few hours before such exams?

For me, it's an introductory religion course. And yes, I'm studying the night before the final.

Had an urban studies exam this morning that I studied for about an hour before the exam. I think I got at least a B+ if not an A on it, and either way I’ll probably still get an A in the class

nicely done.

I took a geology class about Earthquakes as a 2 unit filler because I had 12 and didn’t want 16 for my first quarter of college. I thought it would be easy.

I got a C. It was sheer memorization about a whole bunch of **** I don’t care about and a 90 question multiple choice final.

I should have made it pass/no pass, but I didn’t know.

orchestra
3 hours a week, attendance isn’t mandatory, automatic A
B-)

ah, sorry to hear that, simpsonman; I feel for ya.

90 question MC is pretty ridiculous in itself.

^^^^ Lol, history of rock and roll was at my schoo too! What school did you go to?

Religion class, First year seminars.

For me, intro to psych was so easy I didn’t even study before the final. It went marvelously. :D

haha, me too! Everything band-related for me was an easy A – marching, pep, and concert. Just had to show up and play =]

Yeah, it was too bad. I studied the previous 2 days for it too. There was just simply too much stupid information I didn’t care about for me to memorize. I’m good with tests that test your actual knowledge, not just how well you can memorize sheer facts.

It really depends on your interests, your school, etc. For example, I was in an intro religion class this semester and I had to work my butt off for the 4.0. My 400-level anthropology class was so much easier than that stupid religion class. I know a lot of people who flat-out failed the class.

My easiest classes were (until this year) my Spanish classes. They placed me too low so the last few semesters have been ridiculously easy 4 credit 4.0s. This semester was terrible though. Anyway, I never studied for the finals for Spanish because I only ever needed like a 50% to get an 4.0, and I would study the night before for like a half hour for each test. Meh.

I love BS classes!!!

Viking History. Best VLPA credits ever (Visual Literary and Performing Arts, gen ed)

Women, Culture, Difference
News Literacy
Film Genres

For me, it was my freshman writing seminar, which was an honors course. My professor was new to my school this year and didn’t know how to use the website where we turned in our papers and where she could post assignments, so she ended up giving everyone a 100 on their participation. We only had five papers, most of which were 2-3 pages, and a final reflection paper.

Definitely agree. I got over 100% in Psychology and a 98% in Sociology. All I had to do was read.

I also want to add “Introduction to Theatre: Theatre 100”. That was, by far, the easiest class I have ever taken. It was fun. And I think Communications 101 wasn’t that bad. Just a lot of reading and memorization.
