BS in applied mathematics, back to school for BS in Electrical Engineering?

3 years ago I had the hard decision to choose between getting a degree in applied mathematics or electrical engineering. I had my thoughts on becoming an actuary and didn’t know too much about electrical engineering so I went with applied mathematics. I got my degree in two years and went on to take the P/1 exam. Unfortunately I didn’t pass it and I decided I couldn’t waste anymore time so I got a job in the insurance industry thinking I could just work and study at the same time and just move up in the company in an actuarial role someday. I got a great offer to work at an electric utility company as an analyst not long after that I took the offer. Now that I’m working here I’ve been thinking about going back to school for electrical engineering. My company has a tuition reimbursement program so money wouldn’t be that much of an issue. I have taken numerous upper division applied mathematics courses as well so the math portion wouldn’t be an issue as well. My question is would it be a smart investment to take courses in electrical engineering? Would my salary go up a good amount to where it would have been worth it at the end of the degree? Would I be given a chance to work as an engineer in my company after taking a couple years of electrical engineering courses?
