How hard is it to transition from a bachelors in EE to a Masters in CS at one of the UC's (UCLA, UCB, USC, UCSD) Stanford and CMU? I will have taken enough CS courses to get a minor in CS and a couple upper division courses about AI (Machine Learning). Are there any other courses that would be recommended for me to take? I would like to make the transition from EE to CS to study AI for my masters and PhD if I choose to go on further. Is this transition uncommon?

Thanks

Why and what do you want to do?

DS experience, ME undergrad to CS MS. But that’s only the external picture. His focus for MS was in HCI, which happens to be in the college of CS. Although most of the HCI students happen to have a CS degree, PI wanted someone who had some ME training. Thesis had to do with a mechanical application for computers.

He currently works in a university. College of CS in a robotics situation.

Can you see the overlays?

In the meantime, enjoy your sophomore year. You still have a long way to go before you need to think about grad school.

Go online to the individual universities to see what their courses requirements are for CS.
