Hey guys, I've been thinking lately about my future after undergraduate studies. I plan to go to Virginia Tech and major in Mechanical Engineering. I'm in-state so i should be able to afford it for the most part. I want to get into the corporate side of engineering, so i figure i would get my MBA. To get into a top tier school, a key element is work experience. I was wondering if joining the military (air force) as an officer will be good experience. Coming out of the military after my service commitment with benefits and paying off my undergrad with my salary.. The real question is... Will completing my MBA and then looking for a job be unrealistic? Must you be with a company for a certain amount of time and then go back for a MBA? I'm not sure if starting new with your first civilian company with an MBA already is a good idea or not.. Still new to whole plan so any advice is appreciated.
