I believe RPI/AMC program has already filled up all their interview slots for Jan- March. I believe they send out 100 interview calls with one week window to accept the invitation. If a few withdraw their application, there is still a chance that you will get a call. But, I wonder why one would not interview after paying the $125 AMC charged for the suppliment application.

ok thanks for the info! do you know if we will get a letter stating that we didn’t get an interview or if we only get one with a decision from RPI for regular undergrad

i was looking through last year’s interview notification thread and it seems like rpi keeps sending out supplementals/interview notifications on a rolling basis and they’re not all sent out on a single day. so they may send out more in january, etc.

hopefully thats true! I really want an interview! honestly I care the most about VCU as their program is the best to me. while their undergrad is not extremely impressive, their med school is AWESOME. their dorms are also nice :)

I got my interview for RPI/AMC. Super nervous on what I need to prepare though. Anyone have any info on this?

did you hear back from RPI/AMC via snail mail or email?

RPI/AMC only sends email invitation I found out last week.

I’ve already heard back from penn state…rejection
I was sort of expecting it though, since my SAT wasn’t that good. Anyways, I got accepted for the regular pre-med program with the option of applying to med school during my sophomore year and leaving right after junior year if I get accepted (almost the exact same as PSU’s 7 year track). Either way, I’m still waiting to hear back from drexel’s program.

Good Luck! I hope you get an interview!

Would you guys say that Penn States program is heavy on standardized tests (SAT, SAT subject tests)?

@UnfetteredDreamz

Probably heavier on standardized tests, since you have to take the MCAT anyways to stay in the program and they didn’t really emphasize UG research or anything like that.
I only had a 2160 on SAT and bombed my chem SAT with 710 '-.- and the minimum was 2100, so I wasn’t surprised by rejection.

Congratulations! Penn State is a great college and you cannot go wrong doing Pre-med there + enjoy 4 years of college, football, basketball, College Avenue and everything else there which you will miss out in the 6 yr program.

Penn State status changed to:
“We will be notifying Jefferson Medical College of your candidacy, and they will be in contact with you regarding an interview at Jefferson. If you are not selected for this specific program within the Eberly College of Science, you will be considered for general admission to the Eberly College of Science instead.”

Does this confirm that an interview will be coming soon?

@matrix007.

Congrats on moving on.
I think that it’s safe to wish you “Good luck” on your upcoming Penn State / Jefferson Interview.

@matrix007

Congrats!!!

On what day is Penn State interviewing this year?

@matrix007 @DxSnake

When did you guys submit the app?

PSU/Jefferson will be interviewing all candidates on February 13th this year.

Has anyone heard anything from UAB’s EMSAP program? Hmm I also didn’t hear from RPI/AMC or BU yet. Do you think they’re still sending out emails?
