Do the BS/MD programs look at first semester senior year grades?

if anyone applied, WUSTL released results on their wustl pathway today~

@shadow522 thanks and good luck to you too!!
when is your GAP interview?

@dumich I’m actually not sure about the GAP interview schedule other than what they said in the interview notification email. What date is your interview? :)

rejected from washington university’s university scholars program. oh well. sigh

Ursinus/Drexel notifications on forwarding candidates to Drexel have been sent. My S had his name forwarded

@BiomedFather, congrats and hope he get the interview.

does anyone have any advice about the vcu interview?

Has anyone else received the invitation to apply for the UCSD medical scholars program? I got an email notification, but I can’t determine how long the program is (7 or 8 years?) Does anyone know?

Eight Years

@IMGAD - have you heard back from USciences? I had my interview last week but not sure when they will notify.

@happy2014, my son was told at his interview that he would be informed of the decision on March 21.

@IMGAD - thanks for the info! They did not give me a date. I didn’t ask them specifically so may be that’s why. Would you know if there will be second interview at TCMC?

@eastcoast96
the day after yours actually(: lets talk about it afterwards!(:

@happy2014, yes, my son specifically asked about the date. No, the guaranteed interview with TCMC will not happen until at the end of 3rd year. So, in a way, it is like the St Louis University program, not a guaranteed program. However, it gives you the flexibility to apply out if you want to. Also, since U of the Sciences is guaranteed seven seats at TCMC, I think as long as you satisfy the GPA and MCAT requirements of TCMC and as long as your interview does not go terribly wrong, you should be offered a place at TCMC.

I just got an interview invite from NJMS, and I was wondering if this interview is one on one or panel?

@silverwind, The UCSD program can be 7 or 8 years (They want you to spend at least 3 before going to med school, but you can also take 4 to complete your undergrad. You can also choose to defer your SOM acceptance for s long as you want, provided you’re doing something with the time (study abroad, work, and writing a novel are some of the reasons medscholars have taken more than 8 years.)) If you want more information on the program, <a href=“UCSD Medical Scholars Program”>https://meded.ucsd.edu/groups/med-scholars/overview.html should have some. I’m a current medscholar, so feel free to message me on cc if you have questions!

@IMGDAD - thanks so much for the details!

@CAJ2014 I was just there last week, it’s a one-on-one interview with a faculty member!
