Got invited to NJIT Honors College Interview. I chose Dec 2. Anyone else coming?

@goaltobemd I got invited as well but will be having a phone interview. Do you know if everybody who applied for NJITs program gets an interview?

@faith4ever17820 , as far as I know all of the applicants who are considered for the Honors college are interviewed. You have to be admitted to The Honors college to be then considered for the 7 yr medical program. So this would be the first step. Are you OOS? Since it is a phone interview I am assuming you are OOS.

Has anyone received any notifications from UMiami combined med program? Or is it too early to expect anything?

@dudefromnowhere, my status on their portal just says this application is complete. Hasnt changed for weeks now.

the portal just gives me the status of the regular application, no mention of the combined application, was concerned whether they got it or not? Are you seeing the status of the combined application or just the basic undergrad application?

@dudefromnowhere, the portal doesn’t say anything specific. I got an email though after 2 weeks of application confirming they received the dual degree program application . This is what it said:

Dear XXXX

This email serves as confirmation that we have received your application for the Dual-Degree Program in Medicine at the University of Miami.

If you have not yet submitted your Common Application to be considered for undergraduate admission at UM, please do so at your earliest convenience; it is required to be given consideration for the Dual-Degree Program in Medicine. If you have already submitted your Common Application, there is nothing that you need to do at this present time.

Please note that we will contact you in early December to inform you of next steps.

We wish you the best of luck throughout the process. Should you have any further questions, please direct them to admission@miami.edu.

Just got an email for Umiami and it asks for video responses to a couple essay questions (why umiami, why med, important hobby) that needs to be uploaded by dec 21

Got a UMiami invite for video response. Anyone know if this is a new step this year? Is it a step prior to the interviews or does it completely replace the interview?

@jscoffee a few have got Jefferson interview invite for Feb 10. See the other thread for bs/md for 2016.

Could we keep a running list, here it is based on the responses I see:

Penn state : interview notifications has been received by some folks for Feb 10th date
UMiami: got the notifications to send video
NJIT honors college interview were done, no notification on medical interviews
TCNJ : one person has heard back on interview, anyone else heard from TCNJ?

I cannot find the thread for ** OFFICIAL Class of 2016 BS/MD Thread***, it says it is moved but I cannot find it. Can someone post info on this?

Official Thread for 2016 BSMD applicants
There are quite a few updates there. Make it 2 for TCNJ.
And few have got Albany supplementals.
It will be better if you read and catch up on the other thread… Somehow even the notifications are being posted there. I hope you find it.
