Bs/md?

I am presently a Biology major at a community college that only offers up to an associate's degree. I've known my whole life that I wanted to become a doctor. I even got my EMT license as to work as a tech in a hospital while going to college. But as decision time is pressing for where I will transfer to work on my bachelor's, I am becoming confused. The plan since High School was to go to ECC until I had to transfer, which was to be to Webster. Once I had my bachelor's degree I was planning to apply to SLU for medical school.
Idle research has led me to a program I wasn't aware of before. Apparently SLU has a BS/MD program?
If I understand correctly does this mean it opens me to transfer there to finish my bachelor's degree then move on into medical school?
I'm having trouble finding sufficient information on this subject. So if anyone has any, it would be greatly appreciated.
As well as personal opinion on if this is even a good idea.
Thanks.

Many schools call this an Early Medical School Acceptance Program, or a similar name to this.

I do believe SLU has this program.

You may be thinking of the Medical Scholars program, but that is for freshmen applicants only.
