BU Aid -- Worth Disputing/Bargaining?

After being accepted at BU, I was elated... until I saw my financial aid award or lack thereof.

I read "You are eligible for federal financial aid in the amount of $ 6,631" and thought for sure it was a mistake.

My EFC is $2,200 and i've received close to full tuition (of financial aid not merit aid) at the rest of the schools where i've been admitted.

BU stated the following:

"Your admission affirms the strength of your achievement; however, University funding is insufficient to award all students with calculated need. Therefore, we are unable to offer you University grant funds."

Is it worth disputing or trying to bargain with BU?

The other schools where i've been admitted are not very similar to BU so having them match packages is out of the question especially considering the circumstances (the supposed lack of funds).

BU is my first choice!

Anyone??!?!

If they are not offering you any grants because they don't have them to offer, why would a letter or call cause over $30,000 in grants to appear? I guess there is no harm in contacting them though. It is just not as though you are rationalizing why you should get 2-4 thousand more dollars. You have a higher need than that.
