BU Financial Aid Package

@ke1348 $70,320 is more than the cost of attendance. Also scholarship money over the cost of tuition is taxable income. You have a full ride without loans. Why do you want more?

I just wasn’t sure if i do have full ride because it didn’t say so and was puzzled; I also applied for the art program to so I thought there would be different costs- some colleges do that such as Temple. And the scholarship was just for my portfolio (CFA scholarship) so I just wondered if I do a double major does the amount cover that to or do I still pay? Im just not sure how it works; I’m a first generation student so I don’t want to make any mistakes. But Im really grateful about the package!

@kel348 What scholarship did you receive for The $59,900? Was that the Richard D Cohen? Grant aid would show up under your financial tab as Grant aid.
If you click on the scholarship it should list all the details for acceptance, renewal and GPA required to keep the scholarship. I would Call the BU financial aid office and have them explain the awards to you. $70,000 a year will cover all your costs. You are very lucky to have received that amount.

@kel348 You should call Financial Aid and have them walk through your package with you. It is really important that you understand each component of the package and your responsibility. Given they gave you such a generous offer (they clearly want you) I’m sure they will be happy to help. Congrats!
