No, I wasn’t matched with an MIT lab.
When did you get matched?
Also, what department, if you don’t mind?
I doubt MIT will be hosting.
How long does the matching phase last?
Mid to late April
It appears that RISE may be cancelled:
https://www.bu.edu/articles/2020/bu-cancels-in-person-summer-programs-pandemic/
“All other K-12 summer 2020 programs on our Boston campuses and elsewhere are also canceled, including the Boston University Tanglewood Institute (BUTI). Check with the program leadership for further details.”
Would RISE still possibly be held remotely or online?
Is it going to be online or just completely canceled? For some programs, online would work, but I don’t think “remote instruction” could accommodate for actual laboratory experience. Has anyone emailed them within the past few days?
I believe they are sending an update soon on what will be done.
Has anyone else gotten match decision? I still haven’t heard from RISE
No, haven’t heard back yet either
I just got an email saying that I was matched with a professor (internship track). The email said nothing about the program being canceled or being moved online.
@AFlyingKiwi Would you mind sharing what field did you get matched to?
I got matched with a professor in BU’s computer engineering department
Does anyone know how the notification for if you get matched works?
Internship track just got canceled
Is anyone doing the high school honors program now? It’s automatic acceptance for us (if you got the email), and it seems pretty appealing to me.
It seems extremely expensive ($5000 tuition) for just taking 2 online courses…
HS Honors is amazing, i did it last year
