Hey guys I got just accepted to Boston University and Northeastern and I want to major in Finance and hopefully work at an investment firm (I.e. Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, etc.)

I am having trouble deciding which school to choose. Comments and suggestions would be much appreciated.

Also if you guys can give me some feedback about the living environment (dorms) for both schools, I would be grateful.

Northeastern. You can find hiring statistics on businessweek. I’d link to it myself, however, I am on my iPhone.

Oh I forgot to mention that I was only accepted into the NU in program. So still northeastern?

To be honest, you’d do okay at either. My best friend went to BU and he really liked the culture there. The opportunities presented to you at each will be similar. Both universities are not considered target schools to banks and other financial firms. However, you will find accounting firms. You should consider double majoring (or minoring) in accounting.

Hi there, I’m also admitted into the N.U in program.
I think it would be pretty cool to study abroad for my first semester.
But I’m rly confused about the N.U in program…it says I’m spring admitted on the form…r u also in the same situation??

Going to those programs, you will gain a decent academic experience. Neither will get you into Goldman Sachs or JPMorgan (you would need to target BC and especially MIT or Harvard to get access to flagship banks). Its going to come down to how driven you are in your time at school and when you start your career. If you still aspire to get into investment banking at a top-notch firm, then you will have to push yourself to the top.
