Hey Guys,

Does anyone know how many students matriculate into top law schools (Harvard, Yale, etc.) after attending BU? I am an aspiring lawyer and some numbers would help.

Thanks!

There was another thread about this very recently. Please do a quick search for it. I'm sure you will find it. I'm not going to repeat all information from it, but I know that BU is one of the top 10 feeder schools to law schools in the whole country. This is an amazing stat. I can't give you a breakdown of which students get into which schools, but BU grads obviously have a lot of success in law school admissions.

Getting into Yale is a total crap shoot. The class size is tiny so they get their pick and their selection criteria is accordingly more idiosyncratic. Harvard is much larger and you get in by having really high grades and test scores. Same is true of the other top schools. Doesn't matter that much where you go to college.

BU is actually a decent place to do undergrad if you want to go to Harvard Law. Why? Well, a HUGE amount of our professors are Harvard grads/ex-Harvard profs, etc., etc.. so recommendations from them may help a little bit. Additionally, they're across the river, so they understand how BU's grading system works, how good the programs are, etc., etc.
