Hi there!
I’m looking to transfer from College of Charleston to BU for the upcoming Fall 2015 year.
My high school grades weren’t the best but I attended a very challenging school (3.3/4.0 scale), but I was very active with EC’s (community service club, best buddies club, art club, fundraiser coordinator, red cross volunteer, homeless shelter volunteer, spanish honors society member, track, lacrosse, internship, job)
At college, I currently have a 3.7 gpa and am still very involved across campus (sorority member, watersports club member, track club member, food bank volunteer, peer tutor)
[my major is athletic training…and my internship and job were related to my major too]
anyways I just wanted see what my chances were for acceptance, so let me know. thanks
hey im also applying to BU from a fairly respectable state school.
I am a business major with a 3.76 GPA here, a 3.77/4.0 in high school. I have a part-time job, am in a public interest research group, intramural sports, and women in business club. In high school I was also very involved in multiple community service groups, sports, music, etc. I am, however, applying as a health sciences major because I’m looking to go into public health. Counselors typically (at least the ones I’ve conversed with) say that the GPA should be a 3.5 or higher no matter what program you are applying into. Seeing as we both are higher thats a good sign!
Also I think your essays are a huge deal. They want to see a clear reason for transferring and you need to convince them that BU should be your next move.
In my opinion I think you and I both have very good chances. I hope it works out and maybe ill see you on campus this Fall!!
