I am deciding between Bucknell and the University of South Carolina. I know big size difference and academics at Bucknell is probably a bit better. But, I’m going in undecided so I don’t know how that plays in. Feel like USC has a lot of southern belles but obviously that’s just a stereotype. How are the girls at Bucknell? I’m very into sports, but could play club lacrosse at Bucknell and since USC is so big probably wouldn’t be able to play. Need opinions. Such a hard decision to make.

@nyjets12345678 : Totally different schools. I am a freshman at Bucknell, played club field hockey last fall - very fun & it was a great way to meet people. We are a play hard but work harder school. Everyone is very social but also really committed to classes, clubs, sports & Greek life. Supers are a blast (Saturday day parties). Tough for freshmen boys to get into frat parties. Great academics led by awesome professors. They will challenge you but they will also support you. I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else but if looking for big city or bar school, Bucknell definitely not for you.

The workload is definitely real but manageable mainly because everyone works hard. Office hours are a big help so are study groups. It’s really about time management. We take 4 classes per semester so we also have time to get involved in other campus activities. I am always busy but rarely overwhelmed. Biggest challenge for me is improving my writing skills.
