Bucknell vs Macalester in Computer Sc

I am considering Comp Sc major at Bucknell and Macalester. Can knowledgable members pl guide me about strength and weknesses of the two.I have read information on the website but still confused.

I can’t comment on the program, but can tell you about the schools. They are both smallish, but Mac feels much smaller. It is in St. Paul and has a very oddly shaped, but interesting campus. It’s a long, narrow rectangle. The surrounding neighborhood is nice. There’s good eats and things to do. It’s in a hip metropolis. Bucknell is very remote in a cute little town, Lewisburg. Bucknell looks like you would expect the stereotypical east coast school to look like, lots of well kept, old buildings with a few, mostly tastefully designed new ones thrown in, set in rolling hills. I said it was remote right? It’s remote! With that said, they both seemed great. All the students looked happy. I think either would be wonderful experiences. They are just very different.

Bucknell’s course selection seems to be somewhat better, including courses about networks and security as well as operating systems, algorithms, and databases.

However, as with any small school, check on the frequency of offering of each course. An advanced course offered once every two years may give only one chance to take.
