My daughter is moving to Buffalo, NY.
What would be the best way to find a rental agent who could show her appropriate neighborhoods with possible rentals in each?
I’m hoping that such an approach would help my daughter find a rental with a one day visit.
You might want to ask this on City Data - they have a Buffalo area subforum. The boards on that website are often used for relocation assistance - I’ve had tons of help both for son’s moves and our big move.
When we were looking at relocating, I got Realtor’s names from the membership director of local JCC’s in the areas we were investigating. Perhaps you could find somewhere equivalent to ask about rental agents.
We have to move frequently due to my H’s job, and since we are only in places temporarily, we typically rent.
I have done internet searches on sites such as Zillow to find rentals. Often I’ll notice some realty companies handle several rentals, and then I’ll go to their websites to see what’s there. Many places we’ve lived allow you to see properties on your own without anyone present - you get a code from them for entry.
You could ask a realtor - one place we lived, we were considering buying or renting so we were working with a realtor. We identified some places we wanted to see, and then she came up with a schedule. The place we ended up renting wasn’t something she had shown us, but we still were able to list her as our agent and she received some $ as a result.
