Bulge bracket summer internship start dates

As most people know, about 50% of schools are on the quarter system and the other 50% are on semesters.

For semesters, summer starts around mid-May while for quarters, summer starts around mid-June.

My question is do investment banks account for this and do they offer internships to both groups? Are the opportunities about equal (what percentage of interns are quarter and what percentage are semester)? I also really want to study abroad etc but if that's going to cut into an internship at GS, then forget about it!

Also, let's try to make a list of which schools are on quarters and which are on semesters. For example, I know Dartmouth is on quarters so their summer interns would have to start in mid/late June. Is there some kind of disadvantage for people on quarters systems (fewer offers, etc)?

Harvard - semesters
Dartmouth - quarters
Berkeley - semesters

All the UC's other than Berkeley are on quarters. (Includes, UCLA, UCD, UCI, etc, etc....)
