I will be a 1st year Business Admin w/ a concentration in marketing management major for fall 2012. How is the business admin program overall at CPP? I’ll admit that CPP was not one of my top choices when I was applying for colleges back last fall… I’ve had thoughts about possibly transferring to another school… possibly an UC. However, I want to know how the business admin program is at CPP. Is it worth staying for? Or would I be better off transferring?

I don’t know much about their business program, but I know of a friend who is entering there this fall as a junior in Business Admin. I’ve only heard good things about it.

I’m not really sure how to redirect you, but I can give you some choices.

1) If you want to go to a UC, you will need to spend the next two years at a community college. Possibly three. Transfers from CSU’s are at the lowest-priority for UC’s and they do not take many. They basically cherry-pick the best students from CSU’s. However, they do not pick too many because this would be a source of friction between the UC’s and CSU’s if the UC’s kept taking the CSU’s best students.

2) Try out Cal Poly Pomona. My best advice would be to check this thread out: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-davis/161601-managerial-econ-uc-davis.html and do a similar search for UC schools this summer. I think Cal Poly Pomona would suit you fine, but it’s not my field or place to say. It seems like you had your sights set on Davis. I’d try e-mailing professors at Cal Poly Pomona or perhaps checking out their website to see if it’s for you.
