Business Administration (Accounting)

Do accounting firms recruit heavily from this university?

I don’t know the answer to that question, but I do know that during our campus tour it was stated the SSU had the largest percentage of students that passed the CPA exam (tour guide was an accounting major). He also told us that starting this year, all SSU graduates would be required to do an internship, which would be a big difference when comparing other programs.

Thanks otc! Does anybody else know about the accounting at SSU? I really want to go here because I live close by, but don’t know if i’ll be able to get a job after I graduate which worries me.

On our campus tour they indicated their accounting (and other biz) grads were heavily recruited.

The campus is best known for nursing and education. Everything else kind of lives in the shadow of those programs. Its a good school with a solid reputation. I encourage you to tour the campus, talk to some current students, faculty and advisors.

Other N Cal campuses to look at for accounting are Chico, and Sacramento.

No matter where you go, take advantaged of the internships, clubs and other leadership opportunties on campus. You won’t have any trouble getting a job with a CPA and tangible skills.
