Hi i'm a high school senior, currently looking at a few schools. I have a 3.2 GPA, and a 1900 SAT.

I want to (eventually) become a C-Suite executive at a Hospital or a Healthcare system.

I am looking at University of Missouri and Rutgers (really want to go to Mizzou)

I see that the Business Administration program is 11th in Operations at Mizzou, however, i've been hearing that a Business Degree won't get you anywhere if you want to get an MBA (which is one of my future career goals)

I hear that econ offers a lot more opportunity, however, I struggle with math a lot, and I don't want to choose a major that will ultimately give me a sub 3.5 GPA. Also, Business Administration interests me MORE than Econ, and I don't feel like i should have to choose a major because of the opportunities, as opposed to actually liking it.

Would I be able to accomplish being a C-Suite executive at a Hospital (COO, CEO are my preferable interests) if I major in Business Admin at The University of Missouri- Columbia, and then get an MBA afterwards? How would my job prospects be? Will I be able to even get a job with my degree?

Chill, dude. You just posted your question an hour ago.
I’m not going to answer your question because I don’t know that much about econ vs. business majors, just like the previous viewers who did not answer.
Eventually, if you are patient, someone will respond.
In the meantime, you could search for other discussions about econ versus business undergrad degree, or the value of a business degree - I bet it has been discussed before ;-)

It is a very specific question. I’m not sure how many people are qualified to tell you the answer. I would consider contacting someone who is in the industry directly… maybe send an email to an exec at a hospital. But if you struggle in math, I imagine Econ will be pretty difficult for you. I wouldn’t say a business degree “won’t get you anywhere.”

Economics and business are vastly different fields, just because economics builds the foundations of markets doesn’t mean it’s anything like getting a BA in business. A business degree at the undergrad level tends to be more of a “trade” degree, like if you went to trade school. That doesn’t mean that it’s bad, just that it’s geared towards starting a career in business. undergrad business doesn’t really have anything to do with graduate business school admissions, which is based on how you did in college (regardless of major) and work experience- which an undergrad business program can certainly help you with.

Think of econ as a research-based social science, something more like psychology or statistics. It’s more math based and won’t cover the practical skills of management. It doesn’t sound like that’s the route you want to take, personally, but a couple intro to economics classes won’t hurt wherever you end up going and may spark an interest in the field.
