Business Economics vs Business Administration

I am kind of in a dilemma here. I really want to pursue business and my ultimate goal is to be a CEO of a company. However I really don't know what to major in. I feel like being an undergrad in business would help me reach that goal faster, but then again I've never heard of a CEO with an undergraduate degree in Business where as people like Donald Trump have degrees in Economics, or computer science, etc. Also, I heard getting an MBA is hard for people with an undergraduate degree in Business since they want a well-rounded applicant I guess.

So my question is, should I apply to undergrad business school like USC Marshall, NYU Stern, BC Carroll, Emory Goizueta OR should I apply to be a Econ or Business Econ major at these universities OR should I apply to be an econ/business econ major and minor in Business?

Which option do you think will lead me to my ultimate goal faster? Thank you so much!

Bumppppp!!

1) Who said undergrad business students don’t get MBAs?
Check the stats. In HBS Class of 2014, 43% of the students have background from Bus/Econ.
And I’m sure the stats for other schools are similar if not higher.

2) There’s no guarantee to become a CEO.
Some have MBAs, some have Master in STEM, some have JDs, and some don’t even have a college degree.
It’s not like u can get the degree to be a CEO,
it’s more like the company sees you with potentials and recommend you to get a degree.

You can be a CEO with any degree
