Business, Asia and Traveling question

I was interested in a job that would have me traveling a lot, especially to asian countries. In fact, I would really like to be stationed in another country such as China and Japan because I would love to work in that area because I love their language, culture, and stuff like that. I also want a job that pays well - if possible with my interests.

What exactly should I major in in business to make this possible? My uncle said people in business travel a lot, but where you end up is random a lot of the time. Just depends where they need you at the time.

I wanted to double major in some kind of business and a language, such as Chinese or Japanese (not sure which one yet - which would be better in business?). Maybe minor in Asian studies.

And yeah. Sorry if the question is confusing. I want a job related in the business field that would also let me in some way interact wit asian countries. If anyone has any advice, would be nice!

If anyone knows of any other major though that would let me do something like I described above, I would also like to hear it. :)

Chinese would be the better language to learn. Its easier than Japanese and China is growing very fast.

I’d assume it’s less about the major, and more about which firm/position you work in. Of course please correct me if I’m wrong.

If you want to travel, work for an international corporation that does a lot of work in Asia (duh!). From personal experience, I know auditors (accounting major) travel a lot, but I’m not sure if it heavily involves Asia. If you work for the Big 4 in the right position it’s a distinct possibility.

If all else fails, does your (prospective?) university have an international business major/minor? This would be a good place to start.

A lot of big banks have stations in Asia. Finance, Accounting, IBanking ect ect. You need to be fluent in English+2nd language for these positions.

Yes it does offer IB as a major and Minor. Okay. So I guess Finance and Chinese with a minor in International Business would be good. Thanks for all the input! I appreciate it. That gave me a good starting place. Thanks again!

i think maybe you can major in international dispute. My friend majors that almost travelled all around the world during four years~~~
