<p>Haverford does not have a business department. Haverford students can major in economics and take a few select business classes at Wharton, but that’s as close as you will get to an actual business major.</p>
<p>But don’t confuse economics with business. Economics is a legitimate academic, research-oriented study that utilizes the tools of mathematics and statistics. Economics underlies the theoretical study of business, but business in the real world largely cannot be taught in the classroom. Business is about communication, persuasion, people skills, etc. Nonetheless, many Haverford economics graduates go on to Wall Street and very prestigious MBA programs.</p>
