I know we've all had a wonderfully restful, lazy summer, but I wanted to get things hopping again on the DU thread and I do honestly have a question. The induction ceremony on the evening of the 28th says "business casual" attire for the students. Anybody out there been through this? Are jackets required? Or are khakis/dress shirt/tie okay?

I ... like church these days, I'm betting "anything goes" as long as you're present and accounted for! I'd encourage a bit more decent dress, but cannot imagine jackets, ties, etc. among 500+ 18 year olds on the eve of their moving in. Can you? :) My prediction: You'll see it "all" with most being casual and neatly groomed.

And notably, the coeds will be exhibiting a potpourri of loveliness ... a bevy of beauty, summery colors, and cleavage etc. rarely seen this side of Columbus! ;) :

Ain't that the truth. After the whole long senior year of the college search, when the decision was finally made to go to DU, I told people one of my few negatives about the school is that the girls are just too cute.

ingerp ...we hear it was absolutely idyllic, appropriate and very moving ceremony in near perfect timing and weather. Wish we could have been there... AND to see all those new Denisonians all dressed up for this auspiscious event and being welcomed, inducted by their faculty mentors.

Does anyone know if there's a youtube or other video of this???
