Hi, I am 24 and I am graduating this coming spring 2013 with a Business Economics Major. Before applying for a minor in math, I had a GPA of 3.2 and once I started taking math classes, I failed miserably because it was difficult, I was not motivated and I was extremely sick for 2 months out of the quarter. The outcome of that damaged my GPA, and now it is 2.8 GPA. I've read some of posts online here and most of them aren't friendly. What can I do to redeem myself, so I can get a decent white collar job? Right now, I only got sales internship last two summer and couple of other office jobs that doesn't say much about my experiences. I am scared for my future because my family is extremely poor and I have nothing to support myself, and currently in debt of $15k.

id try to do a grad program like i am currently. i only finished with a 2.66 gpa but i showed extreme disinterest in school all 4 years. i don’t have any debt, and i am from a very wealthy family, but a 2.66 is a really bad gpa and the only way i could get a decent job is if i had my ms. try doing a grad program. most schools will weigh your gpa with your gmat/gre scores so if you do very well on those you shouldn’t have a hard time getting in. seeing your financial problem though I would recommend first starting off as an intern somewhere and only list your strong points in your resume.

If you can kill the GMAT/GRE, it will offset your GPA and will draw interest from good B schools. Most top B schools require work experience though so keep that in mind.
