My plan was to major Business Economics in undergrad
and study Finances at graduate school.
But someone told me that I can't study Finances in graduate school unless I major Finances in undergrad because Finances is such a big major. That I won't be able to learn all the stuff in graduate school.

The school I go doesn't offer Finances for undergrad so is that mean I have to transfer or I can't be study Finances at graduate school?

phd in finance
or mba
???

sorry.. I meant MBA...

If the person advising you was referring to MBA programs he/she was totally wrong.

I agree with VectorWega. The person saying that has no clue what they are talking about. I went to UCLA for my MBA and lots of people there majoring in Finance came out of UCLA's and UCSD's and UCSB's Business Economics programs.

What about from other UCs?
And how hard will it be to go to UCLA for MBA in Finances from UCI or UCD?
