dont know about biz at irvine.

but ucla has a business-econ program that you can do.

are they gud/famous..etc?

UCLA does not have an undergrad business major. They have biz-econ, though. It's supposedly very good.

and..UC irvine?

Come on. This info can easily be found using Google...

UC Irvine | The Paul Merage School of Business

The only "business" thing you will get out of biz-econ is accounting and maybe a few finance courses from the 106 series.

I've heard that the Biz Econ's good. My supervisor used to work for Deloitte and she told me that they recruit a lot of Biz Econ majors from UCLA, so for those not going to Berkeley and Haas, it can still be a good option.

Very good if you want to go into Big 4 or want to work in Socal.

Crap for I-banking and Consulting. Ivies +Stanford+MIT and others get all the nice recruitment.

we have a bizecon major, but that is NOT a busines program, nor is it close to one. i'm in the major because im genuinely interested in econ as a social science (or WAS, haha), and i'm really tired of sharing classes with people who are just in the major because to them it's the "closest thing to a business major" here. not true. i suppose you do take some accounting classes, but the major is comprised predominantly of economics classes.

anyway, big 4 do recruit heavily here, but it's not like they're looking specifically for bizecon majors. really, you could be any major as long as you've taken some accounting classes. the outlook is not as great for ibanking, consulting, etc.
