Alright, I am an in-state Illinois student and am going to apply to UIUC's business program for sure. I am pretty sure this is where I want to go. But, if U of Wisconsin or Ohio State gave me more financial aid and scholarship money and ended up being cheaper I might consider one of those. Anyways, how do these colleges match up against UIUC? How do they compare overall and specifically in their business programs? Also, I want to work in Chicago or New York out of college so how do the 3 schools compare in recruitment possibilities? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The only thing I will say about admissions for UW-Madison is that you do not get admitted directly to the Business school. You have to apply have freshmen year and only 40-50% get admitted. You can re-apply after sophomore year but it is quite competitive. It is something to consider if all things are equal. I think both UIUC and UW-Madison have equal Business school reputations and some majors have better reputations than others. i.e. Accounting at UIUC is better than Madison and OSU.

I don’t know much about Ohio State.

Ok, Thank you for the information. If anyone else has anything to add, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

what makes you think uw gives you aid. merit aid is virtually non-existent except for few in-state students.

you don’t want to go to OSU (even with merit money). be an illini.
