Business School Preparation (After Admittance, Before Class)

I am preparing to begin my MBA at a top 25 (barely) school this fall and I am eager to be as prepared as possible. I have five years of very good project management experience, but it has been almost ten years since I have taken calculus (I took AP calculus in HS). I scored in the 97th percentile in the verbal section of the GMAT, however, only 60th percentile in quant. This makes me nervous. I am reasonably skilled in math/algebra, but I have used a calculator as a crutch for years.

Should I take a calculus/math refresher course this summer?
Are there any books (besides my school's required reading) that would be generally helpful?

I did not take my undergrad studies very seriously, but have matured significantly during my few years in the real world. I am eager to give my graduate studies 110% and looking to prepare as much as possible this summer.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I wouldn’t bother. If you go and take a pure calc refresher you will probably get more than you need, and will probably be a waste of time. My experience was that MBA math is pretty calc light, what you will need to know will be very evident and I would bet you’d be able to pick it up as you need it.

Thanks Japher. My program is small so I don’t want to stick out as unprepared. I’m a type A go-getter so normally I don’t worry about my rank in a group of peers or my ability to excel in a new situation, but I imagine business school is full of people like me so I’ll be the norm rather than the exception. I guess I’m just nervous about being thrown in with a bunch of Jack Donaghys and run over.
