Business Transfer?

Hey!
I'm a 2nd year student from UCF, and I applied to the business program at UIUC for Fall 2011. I applied in early of January with 50 credits completed, and will have 65 credits by the end of the spring term. Now, will admissions consider me as a sophomore transfer applicant or Junior applicant? Will my chances not be high since I failed to hit the "60 credit" mark by the date I applied? Or do they consider the expected credits you intend on having completed by the end of that term (ex. my spring term)?

Thanks for your time! And btw, my GPA is currently a 3.45, expecting a 3.5+ by this term's end, and I think I've completed all the requirements. And, if if makes a difference, I am hispanic. Chance me!

You are considered a transfer based on total credit hours you will have at end of this semester, meaning a junior transfer. GPA is on low side for business school transfer, although URM status helps. All who apply for transfer into business, the hardest college to transfer into at UIUC, should consider their “chances not to be high.” Essays and ECs are important for any applicant.

I appreciate the response! My essay was pretty strong, and I’ve been actively involved in a couple EC’s at my University. I’m really anxious and looking forward to the decision. Hopefully, I get in!
